![]() In this article, we review some of these challenges and make some proposals to address them. Also, as Tamil typefaces evolved from inscriptions and palm leaves to print, they became easier to read. This makes it very hard to consider any additional diacritics in that position to represent foreign characters. In this article, we will show that the genius of Tamil artists has created all possible shapes on top of the consonants with inherent a, to represent puLLi (□□ளி, U+0BCD). There have been suggestions to add new diacritics on top of the series of Tamil consonants with inherent a (அகர□ ஏறிய உயி□ெம□ வாிைச) to represent foreign sounds in loan words in Tamil. ![]() ![]() Tamil orthography is of interest to Tamil computing.
